Delivery Policy – please read

We believe it is important for you to be aware of our delivery system prior to you ordering to give you confidence that we are doing everything we can to protect everyone’s health and safety during this Pandemic.

When we telephone on Tuesday to take payment a two hour window delivery time will be given, please ensure that someone is available to receive your delivery at this specified time.  When we arrive at your property we will ring your doorbell.  Your order will then be left close to your front door and maintain a safe distance (at least 2 metres) to oversee your collection.  The goods will not be left unattended.  Once you receive your bag please place all the items in your fridge ready for you to cook your yummy meal later.

If anyone, in your household are in self-isolation or are unwell in advance of your delivery please do let us know either via ‘any notes’ in the order form or by email.

“Lawrence and Julia would like you to enjoy your time at Fat Olives – a place where we would like you to feel relaxed, be able to unwind and enjoy eating and drinking once again in our fisherman’s cottage.

We have always taken the safety of our staff and customers extremely seriously and with the current COVID pandemic this is never more important.  So, in order for us to keep you all safe as possible whilst visiting we have some simple requests for you to follow.  The Fat Olives team will do all it can to ensure the risk of transmission of COVID 19 is minimised by observing thorough hand washing & sanitising areas.  Our team have all been hygiene trained with procedures and daily talks are held.  Our tables will be appropriately distanced with napkins and menus changed to single use.  Now that the restaurant is open our staff have been advised to ‘self test’ on a regular basis.

Please only enter our fisherman’s cottage wearing a facemask, two guests at a time and at your designated reservation time.  We know sometimes this is not possible so if you are going to be early or late please can you phone us on 01243 377914 in advance so we can co-ordinate your arrival time with other guests.

When you arrive; you will be welcomed, requested to sanitise your hands and to sign in.  You will then be shown to your table.  Whilst moving around the restaurant the government guidelines require you to wear your face mask this includes on entry, comfort stops & exit.

If within 14 days of your reservation date you or anyone in your household, or anyone you have been in contact with have or have had the primary symptoms of COVID-19 (whether diagnosed by a test or not or have been asked to self-isolate by the Contact Tracing Service (NHS Test & Trace)). We ask you to let us know in advance so your booking can be cancelled for the safety of others and to give us the opportunity to be able to re-sell your table.
